I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2014 with a BA in Sociology. At school, I taught creative writing to prison inmates, facilitated dialogues on race, gender, and sexuality, and helped organize community events as a member of TEDxUofM.
In 2016 I enrolled in an intensive, full-time 10 week coding bootcamp at Grand Circus Detroit to learn Front-End development. After successfully completing the bootcamp, I worked as a software developer for several years and, fatefully, stumbled upon the field of UX design. From the first time a manager asked me to "figure out how this page should look," I was hooked.
I've been a UX/UI Designer at Autobooks since 2019. I'm responsible for translating the vision of the Product team from sketches on a whiteboard to high-fidelity interface designs and interactive prototypes. My work enables the Engineering team to create our industry-leading product that helps small business owners across the country send custom invoices and accept payments directly into their business banking accounts.
